Probably going to try and utilize him on our atrocious pk.
Last two years he only played 35 games with a total short handed toi of 40mins with 1 goal against. Small sample size but promising.

9/11 on faceoffs he had to take short handed. May be something there but small sample size.

I think if Alvin waited, he could've maybe picked him up through waivers for free..
also doesn't make sense that we are trading away a RHD prospect, when defense is the biggest weakness lol..

[Canucks] General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that defenceman Ethan Bear and forward Lane Pederson have been acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for their 5th round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Carolina will retain a portion of Bear’s salary.

BOS has signed Mitchell Miller, previously drafted by ARIZ. His selection was renounced once allegations surfaced of bullying in school. GM Don Sweeney will meet with media in 40 mins, Miller reports to AHL Providence.

if he can play hockey, I don't understand why it matters what he did in high school

I mean the kid is barely 20 years old, things that happened in high school are still very recent for him.

His bullying was 7+ year of harassment towards a black kid with mental/developmental issues.

Seems perfect for the culture the NHL wants to cultivate.
