I mean he's not amazing but he's a pretty solid 3rd/4th liner

a panther d-man have to pass through waivers to get sent to AHL (where he belong for big minutes) > trade brennan for bobby butler to fill a role on the forwards > get something instead of waiving a good prospect

Since you're the panthers expert: what do you think will happen to Bjugstad and Goc if they decide to draft MacKinnon?
All of a sudden the panthers would have a lot of skilled centers. Do you think they would trade Goc? Would bjugstad be the odd man out if they don't?

bjugstad is destined to be the 2C with MacK-Bjugstas as top6

goc is one year left, he's a graet 3rd-4th line center but he's stuck playing top 6 for us... idk how it'll end up in the end, but goc will probably slot as #3 if he resigns, having depth of:

mackinnon
bjugstad
goc
shore

since goc is only signed one more year at 1.7 or something (lolthesteal), he'll remain. probably worth a 2nd rounder next trade deadline if we end up practicing tanking until its perfected for mcdavid

Bjugstad for Luongo if they get Mackinnon.

I can dream.
