Teams have been paying for potential for a while now. Jack Hughes is another that comes to mind. I don't mind this contract tho, the dude put up 40 goals and horrid buffalo team. Like Prone said he's about the only guy that sticks out every game.

Josh Norris and Brady Tkachuk both got monster contracts that make me very uncomfortable, but at the same time very happy that they are locked up long-term.

i dont think thats too bad from what i saw thomspon looked like one of their better players and its not like he was carried by super good linemates
