No it was a top 3 card at the time that I bought it. Was within my budget

980 is 600 and i can't pay 200 right now. even with 1080p some games use over 3.5gb memory and after that you will get bad stuttering in game. higher resolutions you can forget.
sure you can lower the settings in game so it doesn't use over 3.5gb but nvidia should of told us. sucks that the card can run everything with high settings but the memory problem kills it
