BB, I'm no apple guy but some apps have gps monitoring.
I'm guessing you don't have a security app for that purpose but perhaps could get a little creative with another app.

For instance, my screen lock has a built in "where is my droid" feature.

I know it's a long shot. Just trying to brainstorm
