I believe the goalie who has the record for the most undefeated games to start an NHL career is Patrick Lalime. Lalime definitely proves that sometimes goalies can just get hot and play out of their mind and then come back to Earth.

The good news is teams start playing eachother, so if a team is moving up another has to be staying idle. I agree though, doesnt seem like anyone can help us out lately.
