The Flyers began their offseason roster modifications by signing a pair of undrafted free agents to entry-level contracts, one of which could land on the NHL roster.
They inked Austrian left wing Michael Raffl and Canadian defenseman Maxim Lamarche to three-year deals.
Raffl, 24, was sought after by several teams, but ultimately it came down to the Flyers and the Nashville Predators.
Raffl was playing for Leskands IF in Leskand, Sweden, which has been a member of the HockeyAllsvenskan, the country’s second-highest professional league.
He led his team with 24 goals and 46 points this past season as the team won the regular season title and as a result earned a promotion to the Swedish Elite League for next season
oh, i wasnt sure if it was raffle or raffi as in torres lol
raffl is quite solid AFAIK, wasn't he good in the worlds?

Raffl is a solid scoring forward with no spectacular upsides and downsides. He doesn't back off in tough situations, the team always can rely on his abilities. At the age of 21/22 he was the leader of his team in the Austrian league and now took over a similar role in Sweden.
I'm confident that after 1 year of adaption to NHL hockey he will be a reliable role player with scoring contributions. Considering cap reduction teams are looking for inexpensive role players. Raffl fits that descritpion." was posted on hfboards
