Might have been said but

*Conditions: If the 2025 1st RD pick that Florida sent to Calgary is a lottery pick resulting in Calgary receiving Florida's 2026 1st RD pick instead, then the 2025 4th RD pick that Calgary sent to Florida also slides to 2026.

As the dust settles from the Panthers-Flames blockbuster, I’m told Jonathan Huberdeau isn’t particularly happy with how everything played out. There were some early, informal extension talks, but Huby’s camp was waiting for an offer that never came. The next call was the trade

lmao ooof salvage af.

bridge is burned, no chance he would even go back to Florida if he ends up going to UFA lol

[Friedman]Tkachuk extension in FLA is $1M/year in salary, rest in bonuses ($68M).

lmao he raking in the doughhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Bonuses are taxed from where he lives, so florida = no state tax.
salary is taxed from where he plays, so handful of games he plays in canada or elsewhere with huge tax, it won't be much compared to the rest.

also it's lockout proof, he will still get paid his bonuses, not the salary during a lockout.
damn florida getting his full UFA best years of 7.

Panthers have no D and no Huberdeau. No presidents trophy this year.

they wouldnt want pres trophy, any team that gets it rarely wins the cup

It's actually hilariously brutal. Huberdeau pulled the opposite of Tkachuk.

He was drafted to a shitty team, been a bottom feeder team for a long time, went through all that and eventually became a ppg winger. The team finally gets fucking good, and he didn't show any signs of testing UFA or wanting to leave other than just be loyal. Been patient, expecting an extension but he gets a call that he got traded for a new younger toy.

Ggezpz mother fucker.

on capgeek? cause they have 13f and 8d on our roster currently and it puts us 98k over the cap with extra players were not actually over the cap
plus ellis is going on LTIR
and worse team in the league? willing to put a bet on that?

relying on one of your best D going on LTIR to fix your cap problems is not a good sign.

And yes, if Price is back, Arizona and Kraken got better. I would put some cash money on it. Maybe Chicago is the worst now, but it'll be a battle

Why not? Still under contract, played last year and apparently got better as the year went on.

Haven't read anything that would suggest he's not.

I thought he was dealing with some injuries still, I didn't follow Chicago last season
