Friday was his deadline to take his 1 year QO which would have taken him to UFA next year.

If they go through with the arb it'll still be the same thing, 1 year to UFA, but this gives Calgary an extra week or so to work out a deal with him or trade him as he can no longer accept his QO.

Im not sure why, i feel like Kadri and Colorado are still trying to make things right so he can stay with the club.
It's weird that he didnt sign yet otherwise.
