I run a 970, it's perfect right now and will run even Far Cry 4 on max settings with no lag whatsoever. Probably gonna be able to run nearly all games at max/near max settings for the next 2-3 years.

Basically, 980 is unnecessarry right now imo. But yes, my card has 3.5 VRAM, which is plenty necessary. No game needs 4 GB VRAM right now anyway.

no, but if you run a larger monitor than 1080p you WILL need toe extrae VRAM

1440p got issues at 2GB vram, preferred is 3gb++

Long story. Basically my PS3 activated itself 4 times then deactivated itself. I couldn't play any games with it inactive but you can only have 2 at a time, I still "had" 3.

Go on chat support, the chick is clearly doing something else while chatting. She takes an average of a minute to respond to me. When she said she was accessing my account, it took so long that I had to ask her if she was still there. To which she replied "We can't help you, you can only deactivate once every 6 months. Please try then." Then posted a survey link and ended chat.

So I called support on the phone, immediately demanded a manager, told him what had happened. He got my PS3 activated, then asked me to send him the text transcript of the chat. I did, he apologized and told me to tell him two games of any price on the PS store that I wanted, and he gave me codes.

but still, the point is i don't really want to pay for something that has a flaw in it

That is some pretty sweet customer support, the second part that is :)

It was a nice save on his part. The customer service chick was egregiously bad. You could tell just by reading the transcript that she was either dicking around on her computer or talking to someone while I was sitting there twiddling my thumbs. I told him I was almost insulted and that I'd had playstation systems since PS1.

Helped that I was nothing but cordial in the chat and to the manager. He was probably just grateful for that since I'm sure most of the time when someone asks for a manager they're fuming :lol:

i never had to call sony support but they generally seem good to their customers doesnt surprise me u got free games for the girl being a bitch lol
