Well they did give up nearly 45 shots lol.

When Vegas was putting on the pressure they never did get that grade A chance though.

The best option was always taken away so that was key. Shooting/passing lanes blocked off so the shots that did get through were not ideal.

guys like Beagle and Sutter are good defensively, but the problem is that they're so slow and poor at generating possession they're constantly pinned in their own end, then get gassed as the game goes own.

then players like Virtanen and Roussel are just dogshit in their zone.

Virtanen is the kind of player that will always drive you crazy.

6'1 225 great skater, strong on his feet.

An ideal base to build a great hockey player on. All the tools are there.

You get glimpses of brilliance when you see him put it together the odd shift. The remainder is frustration at his lack of hockey IQ and play away from the puck.

All I heard from hockey heads and nucks fans alike is how shitty their defense is

Roussell is just bad period

He's a detriment every game because he's a ticking time bomb with no self control and he isn't nearly good enough at hockey to make up for it

Lol what? their defense IS bad. If you think giving up 35-50 sog per game is good defense, AND about 20+ blocked shots on top of that on average, idk what your definition of good defense is. Don't mistake godlike goaltending performance as godtier defense, sadly it's not sustainable as having good defense.

No idea what u guys watched, but there was ton of grade a chances for Vegas all night long but they got stone walled hard by a goalie that hasn't started an official match since March. Bunch of redirected saves, one timers, scrambles in front, odd man rushes etc. the usual.

I didn't see that many grade a scoring chances get on goal to demo when compared to the amount of shots generated. So far this postseason the nucks defense is doing a good job blocking shots and keeping things outside
