Regarding reports that Kirill Kaprizov is wanted in Russia for allegedly buying a military ID in 2017 and has returned to the United States, a #mnwild source says he is not in the U.S. Obviously this is a complicated story and I'm working to see if there's merit.

Wonder what all these young Russians think of Ovechkin and his pro-Putin stance now.

I'm not sure he's really pro putin , more like pro not wanting to deal with the government threating him and his entire family for the rest of their lives.

He calls him a friend, "my president", has his social media profile pictures with Putin, etc. He's a fanboy not a hostage. Caps asked him to change his profile picture and he declined. Nah, he's been an active promoter of Putin for many years. He even got a wedding gift from him and is known to have a direct line to Putin.

Which is a huge shame because a big part of Putin's macho image is pretending to be fit by scoring in phony hockey games, and you have the country's GOAT in the sport validating that for a long time. That kinda shit soften Putin's image considerably to the general Russian population even as he brutally oppresses dissenters and neighbors.
