well it sounds like its a word of mouth NTC which in a league full of contracts that probably doesnt hold much value
and he mighta had it with one team but whos to say the next team has to follow it if its not on the contract
It's a contract, so it would be written not a word of mouth thing.
the info was on capfriendly, which means dadonov didn't mess up and actually had his list on the contract.
[Frank Seravalli] Dadonov situation, as best I can glean/understand: Dadonov seems to have properly filed 10-team NTC list with Sens before July 1, 2021 due date. Sens traded Dadonov to VGK on July 28, 2021. Was the list, which was still valid, passed along to VGK on trade call?
Sens had an obligation to disclose the list. They fucked up by not noticing their player had a nmc list and failed to give the list over to Vegas.
NHL had an obligation to ensure the trade call was done correctly. They failed to verify all the documents before approving the trade, if the info was on capfriendly its clear that he had a nmc clause in his contract and its the league's job to be like, yo Where's his list?
VGK had an obligation to ensure they verified the completeness of their info. They didn't care enough to check, assumed since Ottawa didn't give a list,eo he didn't have one, so fk ya imma trade him to anywhere I want huehue
Anaheim are just bystanders and victim of this situation
