The Anaheim Ducks traded defenseman Josh Manson to the Colorado Avalanche for prospect Drew Helleson and a 2023 second-round pick, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Anaheim is retaining 50% of Manson's $4.1-million cap hit, Friedman reports.
He's okay, definitely a better option than either Johnson to play 2nd pair.
And chances are on a much better team he'll look better himself.
Don't think Avs are done, likely looking to add another forward. And they should, might as well move the chips in, with Vegas struggling looks like Calgary is their only competition in the West.
STL is a good team but they themselves need to add on D. They're definitely in on Chychrun, that could get them closer to Colorado's level.
