gimme 50 mil I'm never working again. retiring on a nice lake-front property with a pizza oven, smoker, fruit farm, etc. any other opinion is retarded imo. you are gonna die regardless as early as your 40's. Earth is going to be completely destroyed within the next ten to hundred million years with zero trace of humans ever existing. legacy is silly, "i care about the two generations who will know I exist". anyone who wasn't directly involved with a historical event from before the 1930's on is already forgotten.

lmk one person you know that existed 10,000 years ago. then lmk how many people you think will even remember the sport of hockey 10,000 years from now

Why do you think Tom Brady just unretired?

Some people have different motivations. Not sure if you're trolling or what but it's a weird take lol.

cause he married an already famous person and realized nobody loves him and he has literally no hobbies or ambitions or goals and the only place he feels good is on the field. plus likely CTE. he'll be dead within 5 years.

I tend to think the guys who completely stop caring in the nhl are the outliers, and that the systems and people in place specifically hired to motivate the shit out of you tend to succeed. All the media, coaching staff, fans, they usually win as far as pressuring guys to actually try hard, especially for young players. But every now and then you get a James Neal, Rene Bourque or Brad Richards who just don’t give a flying fuck.

The Anaheim Ducks traded defenseman Josh Manson to the Colorado Avalanche for prospect Drew Helleson and a 2023 second-round pick, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Anaheim is retaining 50% of Manson's $4.1-million cap hit, Friedman reports.

He's okay, definitely a better option than either Johnson to play 2nd pair.

And chances are on a much better team he'll look better himself.

Don't think Avs are done, likely looking to add another forward. And they should, might as well move the chips in, with Vegas struggling looks like Calgary is their only competition in the West.

STL is a good team but they themselves need to add on D. They're definitely in on Chychrun, that could get them closer to Colorado's level.

They should send Chris Manson and see if they'll notice
