So buffalo is about where Detroit is now in terms of general rebuilding?
Wings got #1,2 defensemen , a stud winger, some support wingers (all rookie or pipeline I mean), and a top goalie prospect.
No #1 center prospects. No #2 C prospects for that matter.

Buffalo has all that too and no goalie, but has Dylan cozens at C.

Easier to acquire a goalie than a top C though.

Looks like Vegas is going to be pulling a tampa this year. Basically zero cap space for eichel to be activated off LTIR whenever he's ready to go

The New York Islanders have traded the rights to Johnny Boychuk to the Buffalo Sabres for future considerations.

Cap space! Now they can get a LD at the trade deadline and shoot chara into the sun

Love what Lou has done for the most part but going into the season with Aho / Chara / Greene as your 2-4 LD's was not wise lol.

Much smaller return for Buffalo as expected.

Those Tkachuk rumors were ridiculous.

Buffalo has pretty good center prospect depth with Cozens, Mittelstadt and now Krebs. Don't know if any of them will become legit 1C's but they're all somewhat recent 1st round picks.

we dont really need middle 6 centers... veleno seems like he could be a good center in a middle 6 role, and larkins only 25 and i think on a cup contender is a #2 c... finding a #1 c is the biggest need, and with our d prospects i think we can flip for one.. edvinsson and wallinder are looking real good so far in the shl, and no bias here.. but seider is a stud.. so i think we're much further along than buffalo.. i think ned is a really good goalie for the interim, until cossa is ready who just won goalie of the month in the whl

The Anaheim Ducks announced today that Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Murray has been placed on administrative leave pending an ongoing investigation related to professional conduct.

Following is a statement from the Anaheim Ducks: "We recently became aware of accusations of improper professional conduct against Bob Murray. After internal review, we enlisted Shephard Mullin to perform an independent investigation. Upon recommendation from their initial findings, we have decided to place Bob on administrative leave pending final results. In the interim, Vice President of Hockey Operations and Assistant General Manager Jeff Solomon will assume the role of Interim General Manager. We will have no further comment until the investigation is complete."
