It's pretty hard to brick a GPU. It's most likely the mobo.
Quite common in prebuilds, there's several ways to diagnose and try fix it but idk if it'll void your warranty or not. Probably better to just contact support and bitch ur new comp doesn't work.

buncha people bricked their gpus on d4 beta mostly gigabyte and PNY 3080 tis it seems
pretty sure gigabyte had the same issue with new world

the issue with new world was GB used cheaper capacitors or something and when the card went to full power for full performance they couldn't handle the extra power and would overload and fry
people on bnet forums were saying the gigabyte RMA site page was down probably from so many people trying to get a gpu replacement

i think they replaced most of the cards that new world bricked so hopefully same deal for d4 beta but man id be staying away from gigabyte GPUs new game that comes out you risk bricking your card? that's fucked up

plus if his mobo fried would bios even load?

pretty sure he doesn't have a gigabyte gpu, as memexpress wouldn't be using their parts to include in their build. It's usually a stock/FE/ or unpopular model of the card that can't sell on its own and can only be sold being bundled into a prebuilt. He doesn't even have a 3080 either, it's a lower end gaming card 3060ti.

His mobo isn't fried, it's related to his motherboard which could be a lot of things but it'd be too time consuming to diagnose to figure out what the problem is

i dont think only 3080s got bricked just most of them seem to be gigabyte and PNY 3080s

Yea. Have a msi 3060 ti.
I'm positive it's what's wrong. I'll know more later this week. Bringing it in to ME tonight after work for diagnosing

Why do you think it's the gpu? Do you hear noises from it? What is making you think it's the card?

Your cpu doesn't have integrated gpu, so if your gpu is bricked, then you wouldn't be able to see anything displayed on your monitor.

When you bring it to ME don't tell them what you think it is, just tell them that you played D4 and then the computer will only loop to bios. So they can figure it out step by step.

if it doesnt load into windows it could be the ssd
i know when my 1050 ti died i could still hear my pc load into windows and play the music i just didnt see it
