the only line that has any cohesion whatsoever is our 4th line. our top 3 lines have no idea where anyone without the puck is. the only way we generate any offense is if someone does it all by themselves.

our play without the puck, especially in our own zone is absolutely horrible right now, and no one seems to know what do with the puck when they get it on their stick in their own zone.


its pretty pathetic that tage thompson can come up to this team and immediately look like one of only 3 dangerous players on the ice for us along with tarasenko and schenn.


our 2nd line HAS TO STEP UP. our first line wasnt going to carry us all by themselves all year and now with schwartz hurt, our first line is less noticeable. steen, stastny, berglund, sobotka, etc HAVE TO FIGURE OUT how to play at a reasonably high level again.


i hope armstrong figures out how to piece together a stronger team once bouwmeester and stastny are off the books. you dont have to have superstars to run deep in the playoffs in the nhl, but you cant lack the high end talent and also have underachieving top 6ers.

zero confidence and offensive creativity. our teams plan in the offensive zone is "give it to tarasenko or schenn and hope they do enough by themselves to score."

PP is as bad as ever, so many turnovers in our own zone and neutral zone to players trying to skate the puck through everyone by themselves.



the effort isnt lacking, but the execution and lack of confidence is alarming.
