It might not make any sense $ wise but there's too much pressure on him and maybe something happened internally. I know for a fact Giroux prefered Bob to Bryz, he might have asked Holmgren to do something with Bryz so the team can focus (idk, bryz is lazy in practice)

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed defenseman Roman Josi to a seven-year, $28 million contract. well the buyouts can be this year or next year so if we buyout bryz id say keep briere give him a year see if he can turn it around
but depending on who hits FA that 12m or so both of them being bought out could really come in handy
e: lets not forget giroux is prob going to want atleast a 3-4m raise after next season too

You guys don't have the cap space to ice a competitive team without buying out both Bryz and Briere. You have negative 2.5 mil cap space right now and need to replace Bryz with another #1 goalie as well as sign some forwards/dmen unless you're going into next season with the same shitty team.

yeah were -2.5 but we IR pronger n were under the cap
honestly i think the flyers are wililng to go all in on mason i mean we got to the finlas with boosh/leighton mason shits on both of them and took over the #1 job after the trade
with a healthy d in timo schenn coburn mezaros we dopnt really need that much in the backend and we dont need grossman making 3m on the 3rd d pairing
hoping grossman gets moved... and we had a lot of young guys come up and play with the injuries and showed they can hang in the nhl id say fill the 3rd line d with them
we also got some forward raffl guy which sounds likes hes got potential from sweden or sumthin

except you can't put anyone on LTIR until the season starts and you have to be below the cap by training camp in september including prongers cap hit.
