D3’s stat inflation pissed me off so much, hope they don’t do that stuff again. Every patch suddenly you could get gear that was 10k or whatever more damage etc, and all your hard earned gear become shit every month or so

Yeah hopefully they find a different way to attract players for new ladders instead of the power creep which is a major sign that the design is faulty.

"look kids, instead of doing 5325238 damage, now you can do 85325238 damage!! isn't this fun?!!! make sure you remember to claim your daily reward because you are a special snowflake!!!"

pretty sure they said they learned from that mistake in the developer stream

i also think those super high numbers is why they never did pvp they were never able to scale it properly with that kinda damage
then the panic fixes like paragon system and stuff probably made it even harder
im surprised they carried over the paragon system into d4 tbh

Isn't the paragon system much different in D4? Not sure of the details.

But considering the system was viewed negatively in D3 you'd think they'd come up with a new term just for PR reasons.

Majority of this game is already done, there's not enough time to make changes at least major ones like revamping the entire campaign and how it plays lol.

I just hope it's only like this in Act 1 as they try to set the story and then afterwards they let you out so you can start slaying.

Although D3 was the same all the way to the end.

If there's one major thing I hope they change it's the UI honestly.

Another good thing I forgot to mention is that it doesn't seem to be a walk in the park when it comes to difficulty. Every stream I'm watching the players are actually dying, at least in boss fights.

its 3 months til launch this is a demo more then a beta they already had multiple betas
companies just learned if they call it a beta it doesn't have to be as polished as a demo should be and they can be all like "its just a beta" that's why you never see demos anymore its all betas

And they have to walk to a certain spot and get in their "talking" animation/pose before the dialogue begins.

I was watching the part where the spirit wolf talks to you, he slowly waddles over, slowly turns around, slowly sits down and THEN starts talking lol it's amazing.

The cutscenes are always nice visually and the story seems good so far but it's way too much of an interactive movie.
