Whatever CBJ plans on doing, it needs to resolve R.J. Umberger situation first. Umberger asked for trade in May. 3 more yrs at $4.5M per. CBJ's last resort would be to buy out Umberger but Jackets hopeful there is a market for him. Remains to be seen the financial implications.

This really looks like some bad rumour... there's no way Cgy would offer Backlund, Hudler and Wideman (and a 2nd apparently). Horrible, horrible trade. I doubt there's any truth there at all.

Markov is asking for 3 years, 6m per. Handzus is going Ufa. Fiddler may be going Ufa. Da Costa possibly going to khl. Cammalleri contract disputes over term.
