Karlsson was injured all year long and Gonchar had 27 points in 45 games, and was our best defenseman most of the night.
Gonchar is still pretty good, not flashy but quite effective. He still know how to run a powerplay, he have a good break out pass and his defence is really underrated. He often faced the opposition top lines and did a good job. He won't play physical, but he's good at angling player towards the boards and have an active stick. He also likes to play a little physical in a puck battle, he often cross check to other player on the ice and seems to get away with it more often then not.. maybe because he's old and respected the refs are more hesitant at calling penalties on him

Dallas will like him, he's still a top 4 D in my opinion.
