You are opening the door for retribution and all the other managers take notice. Looking back the offer sheet on Aho was not even very assertive. He was worth that contract, if not more so it was not like Carolina was forced to overpay.

Montreals cap situation is pretty tight so they have a decision to make. They will have move some pieces around to match. Don't they think could have expected over $6 million in cap to go to KK,

Carolina is a playoff team (at the very least) so that 1st round pick won't be much compensation for someone Montreal drafted 3rd overall a few years ago.
