Sad thing is, he is next to useless without McD/Drais/Barrie. Notice how he was irrelevant in playoffs when McD/Drais were shutdown?? a #1 dman makes a difference to the team, rather than relying on other players to make him better and capitalize on it. Like EK, Doughty, etc. in their primes or Fox/Makar.

He also shot at an absurdly high % in his career last season. it was like 10% and his career avg is around half that. He's not relied upon the PK either. Good on him and his agent to get paid though, and holland for giving him a 3m/yr raise for asking him to wait when his team pretty much has no other option but to overplay him. Holland allowed

himself to be strong armed by Nurse, cuz he knows they can't afford to lose him.

i wouldn't be surprised, holland brought barrie back and he's still playing with mcd/drais the next 3-4 yrs.
