Game @ Mile-High:

- Good energy level despite a back-to-back in altitude, but we didn't play that well again. Generated little offensively even with 5 power-plays and good chunk of offensive zone-time. Colorado's speed and skill was tough to handle. Like in Minny, our 3rd period was our only good one, we were lucky to come out with 3 out of 4 points on this trip.

- Lack made a bunch of very good saves but was bailed out by Colorado lacking finish on some of their better chances. He was fooled on the Avs' 2nd goal that started out behind the net, but there was also a guy wide open standing in front.

- Daniel was completely useless. Jensen might have had his worst game so far, even with the nice assist on the power-play. Doesn't help that he's been 4th lined with Sestito now.

- 3rd line of Booth, Richardson and Kassian put in another strong effort. I thought Richardson was especially effective.

- Weber and Stanton are starting to gain some trust from the coaching staff as a reliable 3rd D-pairing. It looked like Weber messed up on the OT goal against but really it was Daniel losing his check.

Bieksa sustained an ankle injury in the 2nd period. No update on his status, but Corrado has been called up. Gonna be tough making the playoff push with 2 of our best 3 D-men this season sidelined. I think we're down to something like 2% now.

Game vs Ducks:

- The score wasn't indicative but I thought we weren't outplayed that hard. The scoring chances were probably even but with their size, skill and speed, we can't afford to trade chances like that. To be successful, we can't run-and-gun; we need to win tight 2-1 games.

- It wasn't Lack's fault that we lost, but he wasn't good enough. At this point we need him to steal games, and he isn't close to doing that.

- Our 3rd line was our best for the 3rd game in a row, again with Richardson standing out the most. Higgins was our best forward out of the other nine.

- Daniel was invisible for the first two periods but then made a few nice plays in the 3rd. Jensen obviously isn't getting the same opportunities he was when he was first called up, but it seems that he has taken a step back.

- Bieksa and Stanton made several mistakes defensively. Weber was very effective offensively.







The dream is officially over Rags coming up.

Done with the analysis 'cause we're out now doesn't matter anymore. But I'll still watch the games lol.




Gillis threw Torts under the bus this morning. Said the new defensive style should take most of the blame for our terrible year.

He said if the style isn't changed, he'll have to make the changes himself. When asked if that means Torts's job is in danger, Gillis replied with, "I'm not sure I'll be back next season."

Im going to the game, so its the only one i want us to win for the rest of the season.
Going in, we only have 1 more win than CALGARY this season... hahahahahahahaa
