I get that NHL is a business. MAF is their #1 goalie, one of their core i think that at least earns him a quick call to let him know they had to make a hard business decision

We’re in the age of instant news, this shit was probably out there before it was even official. It’s not some stab in the back like some people are trying to make it seem.

Sucks for MAF but that’s business. Could they have called? Sure. Would it actually make MAF’s situation any better? No. It’s not the most respectful way to go about things but it’s not like some out there thing that plenty of other guys haven’t gone through before
