I mean you did get rid of eriksson

We legit had 1 year left on Eriksson. Now there's 6 of OEL.

It's like we acquired Eriksson again from the beginning despite having 20/20 hindsight, as if Benning can only live if he has multiple crippling contracts in the roster. The plan was to take the L and let the bad contracts expire, now after losing a bunch of seasons due to bad cap management bam - the biggest albatross yet to finish rotting this poor core.

Fucking depressing.

If garland is resigned (assuming so) at a decent aav then this isn’t so bad.

i mean the oel cap dump isnt that bad hes overpaid but hes not super bad hes still a top 4 d man and if he can bounce back on a better team and be a 1st pair guy its not bad at all
the term could be a bit rough but you get a decent player and dump 3 useless plugs and have more cap space to sign/trade more additions

and garland isnt too bad either even if he doesnt sign he can likely be flipped for a decent return but if you sign him he should be a pretty big player for you guys

the nucks should be more competitive this season or at least have the potential to be
