no way, mantha > vrana imo. swapping teams should do wonders for mantha

he's also locked up for only 5.7m for the next 3 seasons, whereas vrana is due for a raise

vrana also has beef with lavi's system

2nd is probably the cost to shred the cap

Even if you think Mantha > Vrana (debatable), he's not worth double Vrana.

I'd say Caps overpaid by at least one 2nd rounder.

is Mantha "cost controlled" if he never scores above 50 at that price point? he's not exactly known for 200ft play or PKing.

lol but he played for detroit and only had larkin. Unlike vrana, who played with backstrom and kuzy whom are both higher ppg players than larkin. On top of being in a better team, surrounded by better players. U know, so other teams don't just focus shutting down larkin/mantha to win game, they gotta find ways to shutdown ovie, oshie, wilson, carlson etc.etc.
vrana's best ppg rate was 0.75 on a contending team, during his career high of 52 pts. His next best is 0.64. His career avg is 0.55. This is including the season they won the cup. The team that's usually top 5 in the league for goals for as a team, if not 1st.
Mantha's highest is 0.88. His next best is 0.72. His career avg is 0.64. This is a rebuilding team, a team that is usually dead last in goals for as a team, if not in the bottom 10.

I wouldn't worry him not being able to score above 50, i'd be more worried about him being more injure prone

yes he's healthy af, but u know they gotta say he's not 100% ready to go so they can wait til playoff start and put him out there when cap isn't an issue huehue
