Until then the continucontinuity of bond was fine and a black bond would have likewise been finfine because it fit the theory that James Bond was an alias that is intrinsically connected to the designation of 007. I guess it could be written off as a coincidence that his parents also were named bond, but showing the gravestones fucked up the story in two ways. First, now there's no convenient explanation for changing actors. Second, you find out that this international spy who has saved the world several times goes around handing out his real name.

Idris (sp?) will be great. Everyone freaked out over Daniel Craig because he was blonde. The story and production always trumps the fact that "omg he's black."

They'd also need to change the story though. Good luck having a black guy go undercover in Russia . They'd have to focus more on South America or more diverse countries . That takes Eastern Europe out of the equation

My problem with daniel craig wasn't that he was blonde, its that he embraced that rough unrefined look and he would like run after people and beat them up with his fists and get bloody knuckled.
