on the down side, i think dubby has been great for jones to lean on as a mentor type thing and thats part of the reason why we have gotten better results from him as of recently.

This was my initial thought. He was talking to Jones after the game last night. Probably some more words of encouragement and that he was likely going to get traded.

Another down side is the rookies probably won't be much better than Dubnyk was. Since we're in a bit of a playoff push at the moment that is less than ideal due to Jones being at his best when he's able to take some days off. Which will be less likely due to playoff push/no reliable backup (at least one even less reliable than Dubnyk).

Other than that I like it, fully expected it when we acquired Dubnyk, and have no problems with the trade. Essentially we got the prospect and whatever help Dubnyk gave Jones for free.
