What happened

he got hurt and fucked up his knees
hes fully healthy this year but hes not the same player hes still got some offense but hes not the dynamic player he was
and hes terrible at defense and doesnt have the agility or speed he once had which made him what he was


im just surprised they waived him lmfao they had him playing on the 1st line with provorov like what were they trying to trick teams and trade him like hes our 1st pair d man hes got value you know
all it did is show how bad he is vs good players it was the worst idea ever


honestly though hes been better then gustafsson but i dont think any team wants to take on either player and fletch is like wtf why cant i trade them and this was his only option to try and get rid of him

On one hand, he only has 62 games and 30 career wins.

On the other, he's about the only thing that stopped us from being historically bad this year so...

Stoked for Newhook. Likely won't see him this year but still excited for him the Matt Duchene trade keeps on giving.

Good deal for a good goalie. The holtby contract was a headscratcher when signed and has only become worse, but this is whats expected out of the nucks gm

Bought 3 yrs of UFA too. 26 to 31. Just about the right age gap for goalies. I think Ian Clark should be a priority to sign, hopefully he wants to stay in Vancouver instead of moving onto Florida.

To add: Demko did not get NTC for any of the 5 years. Clutch.

Hopefully Ian Clark stays and extends with aquaman

I am happy with those terms if that is the case.

5 mil is pretty good value. That puts him about average for a starting goalie.

Contract expires at 30. Likely Demko has not even hit his peak yet so this is a real solid contract on paper at this time.
