not sure what the blues are doing. trying to open the game up instead of playing the way thats got em this good record. last night was horrible defense from both teams. turnovers and odd man rushes everywhere.
on a side note, people keep complaining about the lack of production from our 3rd and 4th lines so far, and to that i say to not expect anything from them until some skill is put out there.
brodziak and upshall are good 4th liners, and sunquist is ok i guess, but thornburg is absolutely horrible at hockey. theres no reason for him to ever see the ice in my opinion.
also, sunquist is slow as fuck. hes always 2 steps behind everything. hes not particularly good or bad at any aspect of hockey except hes slow as a turtle like lehtera. hes pretty useless on the 3rd line.
bennett is also underwhelming and lacks the ability needed to produce from the 3rd line, and jaskin is a complete no show for 9 out of 10 games. hes too inconsistent to count on.
all in all, we have like 7 4th line players. in a perfect world, our 3rd line would be berglund, steen, and sobotka, but with the injuries to fabbri and berglund, and to a lesser extent sanford, we lack a 3rd line. roster changes are needed. the kids we had up early on would be a better 3rd line than the shit were putting out there. i feel bad for sobotka since he has to play with 2 plugs all night.
