Seems like he has everything you want in a captain. High level of competition, best player on the team and already has the A so he must have a locker room presence.
Plus he could be the islanders only captain until 2025.

Captain needs to lead by example sometimes. It's not a rule but it helps.
JT would be a great choice imo because the isles are a young team. I think the guys like hamonic and moulsen would be more inspired by JT than someone like viz.
