The Gudas hit was dirty and he is a dirty player at times, but that particular hit is not suspension worthy with the NHL rules. His shoulder is tucked and hits first. #43 received a lot of the damage from his head whipping back off the ice.
You could even argue the 5 min major charge. I watched it a dozen times and he puts his shoulder down last second without striding. I don't think that is charging.
it wasnt charging but they wanted to penalize him for a predatory hit with intent to injure i think
but not give him 5+game for it because it wasa legal hit i guess
