anyhow, Seems to have tons of newer content than netflix, but i dont understand its free and no ads :S how is it legal? and if it is, how the heck does it pay for its licensing rights.

Anyway check it out way better than streaming sites and it seems to have a lot of shit (just checking it out now though)

Did a little research though, what it is, is a ui for torrenting movies and shows presented like netflix, you download the files episode by episode into temporary folders and they are deleted on completion.

Popcorn time does not host files it uses torrent from other sites like pb etc. They dont make any money at all no ads or subscription so it fits into that legal greyspace.

As canada's laws basically say its illegal to infringe on copyright for profit. But that you can burn a mix cd for your buddy.
