You know if the season ended today we'd get an 8th overall pick. That's better than what we traded Schneider away for.

And then you look at our drafting record and you wonder if tanking would even help

I have faith

We've improved over the years.

Tanev for example, didn't he go undrafted then we swoop in like nighthawks B)

Don't think he was on anyone's radar playing for the Rochester Institute of Technology

We've had some decent pick-ups here and there but not much has come out of our actual draft picks.

Only one of Gillis's 1st rounders has made any sort of impact in the NHL, and we traded him for a player who hasn't really done much yet.

Other than Corrado (who isn't even an NHLer yet) that's an incredibly terrible 6-year draft history.

No A's or B's for probability for success and nobody 8+/10 for talent. -_-

To be fair, these aren't really that accurate (ex: I would personally give someone like Corrado a "B" for probability), but that just tells you what people around the league think of our cupboard.

Also remember that Gillis traded a 1st and a very good young player in Grabner for Ballard and a 2nd+3rd for that plug Bernier.

Torts: Being a backup and a starter are like being Batman and Robin.

Lack: I've always wanted to be Batman.

Natural C

He can probably wing, a lot of times young players new to the NHL have to start out on the wing.

Oh

Yeah -_- 9th overall in a deep draft and most media people say he's going to turn out to be good but :(

I don't know much about prospects, to be honest lol.
