I thought there would be more return on Domi.... also there shouldn’t have been a third round going back to CBJ

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has re-signed forward Zack MacEwen to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $825,000.

"Zack is a physical two-way forward whose game complements our roster," said Benning. "He's a talented young player with a high compete level and we're excited to have him continue to develop his career as a member of the Vancouver Canucks."

MacEwen, 24, appeared in 17 games for the Canucks this season, registering five goals, one assist, 20 penalty minutes and a +6 plus/minus rating. He has 11 points (5-6-11) and 25 penalty minutes in 20 games with Utica this season. The Charlottetown, PEI native made his NHL postseason debut appearing in six games in the 2019.20 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The 6'3", 205-pound defenceman originally signed a three-year entry level contract with Vancouver on March 3, 2017.

Great contract, he's obviously not virtanen level yet but he puts in the work and wow Benning didn't sign a bottom 6 for 3m+

we got him cheap, if he bounces back to his old form this is a huge win. He has been injured a bit so hopefully he gets healthy and this is great

That’s not cheap for one year control of a goalie who hasn’t performed on one of the better teams in the league

maybe not, but it does tell me they are trying, and that is encouraging

2 cups hasn’t performed? Ok then. He had a down year but he was injured. We’re going to try to sign him obviously.

Also Pens D are pretty shit and always hurt, hardly a top team anymore they fucking lost to the Habs... carried by Crosby and Malkin and will be bottom feeders soon

He's definitely going this route to choose where he wants to go, up to the leafs if they want him/can afford him at the time.
