Think Lehner signing long term means Fleury is out the door.

They are a small amount over the cap with 5 ( assuming fluery is moved ) roster spots to add. I can’t see Fluery moved without retaining some %. I guess freeing up ~5 mill and spending ~ 1 mil per contract is doable.

Defenseman Matt Niskanen has opted to retire and the age of 33, instead of finishing out his 5.75mil 1 year left contract . Cap hit should come off of flyers books and he will forfeit any money owed for this year to him.

The #mnwild has acquired a third-round selection in the 2021 #NHLDraft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward Ryan Donato.

just saw this
rip he was our 1st line RD that leaves a big hole
we also gave braun 1.8m i wasnt the biggest fan of him but for 1.8 sure

wonder if this makes fletcher try and make a move for dumba or pietrangelo hes basically gotta replace our 1st line RD ...
dumba via trade would probably be more likely fletcher even said he doesnt really wanna fuck with FA this season hes more looking for trades
his salary is easier to fit in vs the 10m+ pietrangelo likely wants his age is better for the "core"

1.8 feels very reasonable for braun.

havnt watched him in philly, but i loved him in san jose

TO SAN JOSE:
Devan Dubnyk
2022 7th round pick

TO MINNESOTA:
50% retained on Dubnyk
2022 5th round pick

not nearly as bad as they were speculating

i feel he played better in SJ tbh but he wasnt like super bad
but for 1.8 im not complaining thats fairly solid for a right shot D that can slot into our 3rd pair could be a lot worse off

yeah that 50% retained is pretty big

maybe if both jones and dubnyk are in net at the same time, youll get league average goaltending

I think its as bad. You picked up one of the only goalies worse than Jones last year, who put up lesser numbers on a much more defensively built team. Even at 50%, that's a couple mil for an old, probably bad goalie
