I've ran out of gas once. If you put your foot to the floor you should be able to get enough gas to pull off to the side or into a parking lot if in the city.



If your car has a "range" meter (tells you how much farther you can go on the gas you have left), it usually tells you that you can go about 60KM after the light turns on. I've found that to be either exactly right, or about 20-40 KM too pessimistic.

lol funny you guys should be talking about this. i took the champlain bridge after about 10 kms on the light today. i knew id be alright, but still felt super stressful lol
