i was wondering this same thing...

The only reason i can think of is because they want to pick an East city (toronto) and a west city (edmonton) to stagger the game times and get as many viewers as possible.
Higher viewership = more money

Which led to picking Toronto whose numbers dwarf all of BC over Vancouver.
Yet another misstep for the league if you ask me.
The list just keeps on growing doesnt it?

If i were on one of the teams in the east, i'd sit out personally.
I know its supposed to be a bubble, nobody in nobody out, but i really wouldnt feel comfortable playing in that city.

Vancouver wouldn't have done it.

They should've gone with Calgary instead of Toronto and just told the players there to wake up and sleep two hours earlier lol
