According to a report in the Winnipeg Free Press by Gary Lawless, who is also a drive-time host on TSN 1290 Radio in Winnipeg, two league sources stated that the 21-year-old, who wished to be moved at the trade deadline in March is standing by that request.

When contacted by the Free Press, Burmistrov's agent Mark Gandler didn't have much to say.

"The only question I'm going to answer is to say that Alex is not going to sign in the KHL," Gandler stated.

Burmistrov, who was a healthy scratch in four straight games in March, has 23 goals and 58 points in 194 career NHL games.

Winnipeg has done the worst possible job at developping him, if I was him I would want out too.

They kept scratching him, and when he was playing he was on the 3rd or 4th line, even when he was one of the best player out there ( which was almost always the case ). It sucks for Jets fan because Burmistrov is a good player and has a bunch of potential.. I wouldn't be suprised to see him developping into a good 1st line center at some point in his career.

The Ducks signed defenseman Stefan Warg to a two-year entry-level contact. He was selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) of the 2008 draft. Warg appeared in 52 games with Vasteras of Sweden’s Allsvenskan league in 2012-13, recording a career-high 19 points with a +21 rating and 40 penalty minutes. He led team defensemen in scoring and assists, and ranked tied for second in goals.
