Last day at my first post college job

Been here for four years.
Was an hour plus drive to work every day. Sometimes over two hours in the winter either way.
48 miles ish

The good: 34% raise and they cover tuition up to $5200 so maybe a masters soon . New drive is about three miles

The bad: it was start asap or don't get the gig so my two weeks ends today which means I will miss performance bonus (about $3000) . have to work through the end of the year for that. I have PTO stocked up to push me well in to January too will get paid out PTO though.

Save about 5000 in gas every year give or take.

Totally new position. Older crowd at this company too. The guy I'm replacing has been there for 40 years. My current company is young and hip so this will be a change of pace

Just finished buying all the parts for my gaming pc (christmas gift to myself I guess)

Found out my parents had a dart board and a ton of darts in the garage hidden away. Im pretty pumped , gotta build a cabinet and get something to put behind it to protect the wall then i can play!

only 1 8g chip of ram?
everything else looks pretty good surprised u didnt get atleaqt 16g or something consdiering the rest

Good stuff, at least all your "cons" are temporarily. Once you start your new job, get your first pays with the raise and take 5 minutes to get to work you wont even be thinking about all that. Sucks for the bonus though, it's the same thing here. Getting it Jan 1st

I'll get more eventually. Pretty sure 8 gb is fine to run every games I want to run.

yeah i got 6g of ddr2 and can play new games 8g will work but when it takes that next jump req wise 8g is prob going to be like minimum but if u plan to get more your good to go
thats when ill prob upgrade my pc i could pop in another 2g of xms2 but finding it without paying out the ass would be such a hassle that could be $$ towards my upgrades lol
