Ya man i i know but who gives a shit. Its taking a bad contract for a draft pick and a good prospect. The bruins get the room.under the cap that they need and we get some.future assets
Its not like trading top players. If i was a gm.id swallow.my.honor and think about winning on the long term.and if i was in boston position id think about my cup window which is now and backes.prevent me.from getting the missing player
But yeah as you said you would need a decent return for backes and it will.involve a big player and some.major bruins prospects to get it done
Maybe even studnicka or 2 of your.top 5.prospects to get the missing key player and getting rid of backes
Yeah we have to be winning now. Chara is like 454 years old, Bergeron's end is getting closer with Marchand & Krejci. Our core studs outside of Pastrnak are up there, Rask.
Boston has done an amazing job with their young defenseman, it's wild lol. Carlo has lowkey been our best dman, McAvoy has Norris caliber potential if he can stay healthy.
I have no problem giving up a prospect if it helps us win now, I'd just prefer it to be someone like Studnicka, Senshyun, Blidh etc, and not Bjork.
Leafs core guys are young, the future could be sick for Toronto (Tavares isn't as young ofc), but you guys could also contend for the cup rn, just not built well to survive a playoff series or two, but still can.
Bruins paying almost $10m for Backes, Beleskey & Seidenberg rn lmao that's so ugly
I hope we can move John Moore for cheap, or involved. He's a $3m depth dman lol
I'm totally down for Boston to damage their future for high success now and the next 2-3 years or so. One cup in the decade does not match the potential this team has had. Sucks a lot for Bergy, Chara, Krejci & Marchand's legacies
