i could see them granfathering a rule in where they are mandatory for new players but optional for any current nhler. same thing they did with helmets back in the day

Redmond wears the cut-resistant foot socks. Some teams sew cut resistant material into game socks as well.

Nah, didnt happen with Visors... dont think its gonna happen with this. These are 2 freak occurrances.

That being said, I'd bet we'd see 1 more player get cut below the belt before the season is up.
