NHL ruled that since Soderberg was released by his SEL club team, he's eligible to sign in NHL even tho SWE federation was objecting.

mk, but he'll be banned from all swedish national team games for rest of his career was atleast what was said earlier

Since I don't know much about this, can you explain why the SEL was trying to block this in the first place? His club released him after all...

they wanted him for the WC is all i know. i dont really follow SEL since my favourite team (djurgården #1 obv) got demoted lol

i think it's also to set a tone, usually the players that get sent to NA is lent by the NHL club, in this case it wasn't

i can probably snoop around a bit if u want
