I'm puzzled by the Schneider trade but not upset.

Nothing against the Luo trade. We should've been sellers 2 years ago.

i thought gillis' biggest mistake was not trading schneider to edmonton when they were offering a much better package than the devils. i hate this whole you cant trade a guy within your conference bullshit. you trade him to the team that gives you the best offer

Yeah, I don't agree with it either but it makes sense. Don't help teams in your division get better.. Oh well. It is what it is.. Could've gone a lot worse, honestly. Was a really good draft to get a top 10 pick out of.

Not a fan of Gillis at all but he made the best out of a bad situation here.

Luongo only had one possible destination, pretty decent return IMO considering how handcuffed MG was (albeit he did it to himself).

Matthias is a UFA next year (still has one more year) and Markstrom is still too young to call a bust.



Yeah, that annoyed me too. Should have been able to get more for Schneider.

I'd keep him in the AHL, let him play and develop. Trade for a backup tomorrow.
