They are about to get their most juicy tv contract (which will increase their salaries again)

It's not like the players cover that 10% themselves; the players give back 5% and the owners give back 5%.

How much money the owners have is irrelevant. The players agreed to a 50/50 CBA.

Quite the contrary. Chiarelli’s only good thing is locking draisaitl and mcdavid up for 8.5 and 12.5 respectively. Those contracts look extremely good considering what some of these rookies think they’re worth.
