yeah def he hasnt really been a top 6 for sometime now lol last time he hit 30points was 5 years ago

He was always like a 3rd line center. Q just plays him a lot in the playoffs 'cause he has size and defensive ability, every coach loves that from their centers.

Smith is a better fit in the top-6 but I assume they are afraid of him going up against guys like Kopitar, Richards, Carter and Stoll consistently, especially with Kane on the same line.

yea backes score 40 goals in a season before. doesnt mean hes a current 40 goal scorer.
