Not saying we're necessarily going a few rounds this year, but this team's lookin good. Better than the 04 team, and younger. The 05/06 team won the division and was out in the first round, 07/08 was similar, etc. So... seeing as the young guns era of the late 90s was so painful, this may be the best Flames team since the 80s. I would say best Flames team I've watched anyway. Not that we've had a bunch of great teams during that time, but just sayin
Certainly one of the best I've seen and it's actually built off our own drafted players which is a massive change. Previously the majority of the Flames game breaking players were always traded for or signed. That Dougie deal looks like absolute highway robbery now, considering he's likely going to have a 50point season. The strength of this teams back end is what really impresses me (atleast when Wideman is not in the lineup).
