Good deal for Manning IMO
He stepped up towards the end of the year and there is value there for him to get better. He is being paid a 5th/6th defenseman.
I would prefer to keep him with his upside and try to trade Streit,Amac, or Schultz.

i mean yeah its not bad and i dont mind him he had an up and down year but played pretty good at times and is a decent age

but 7 d under contract ...id like to think provorov is nhl ready shit he was said to be nhl ready when he was drafted and had extra time to develop
morin seemed like he was solid defensively in all the pre season games and has had time in the ahl to develop i feel hes possibly ready


i hate to see 7 nhl contracts when we got young 1st round picks that seem ready and hextall preach "were not rushing"
its not rushing if they are ready ffs

and look at ghost "rushed" him in becasue of an injury and look what we got

I wouldn't worry about it. It will work itself and the best players will play. Last year he moved Mac to the minors. Probably pull something like that again if needed.

you say that yet ghost was in the minors for this exact reason and only called up becasue of an injury
i feel morin is going to suffer the same fate and possible provorov

whats he going to send down like mac+streit and have 10m in the minors?

Lol okay don't compare Ghost to the level of Morin or even Provorov yet. He was in the minors to start because of tearing his ACL the previous year. Also he had a lot more pedigree with his performance in the frozen four. Most people already knew he was going to be successful.

Morin wasn't great on the phantoms last year. He is going to have to earn it so we can't depend on him making the team. Same with Provorov...he needs to earn it. All this talk is just talk. Can't rely on him being ready.

You are mixing up what you want to happen with the reality of the situation. Those two are still unproven kids and need to earn a spot. And yes they will make moves either by trade or demotions to make room if they earn their way onto the team.

hell even his stats prove he was too good for the whl 73p in 62gp and +64..iirc the +64 led whl as well

lots of players make the jump from chl to nhl when top picks and are ready provorov has had an extra year where hes shown hes too good for the league

i think provorov will be ready this many saying hes been ready for a year and stats like that how can he not be better then half the d we have?



lmao yeah homer liked a tough physical team he didnt really adapt fast enough
but w/e we got hextall now and hes learned from within the kings organization he knows whats up
