I agree. I just dont understand why we called up Lashoff (and then play him over Sproul? Like wtf is that shit?) lol first off, we should have called up a forward not a defenseman, someone like Svechnikov or Sadowy. They need a good look at the NHL level. Or if Kenny really wanted a defenseman, it could have been someone better than fucking Lashoff, Hicketts would have been my first choice, he needs some nhl time, or anybody else. Russo, Jensen, i dont care, just not fucking lashoff.


/e but on the plus side, Jimmy is off IR, hopefully this is not a repeat of what happened a couple years ago when he hurt his groin the day he was named to the all-star team and was trash until this year lol!

Couldn't agree more.... sproul has been one of our better defensemen, is a right hand shot, and has been playing really well... i dont mind the call up for lashoff, but not to play over sproul... Svechnikov has to learn the pro game here first before getting called up, he only has 6 points in 21 games and is a -4 in GR. I wouldve preferred sadowy because he's got the grit that we need with abby out.

Hicketts is too small for this current roster, we have a lot of undersized people... if we didn't, i'd love to see him get a look in detroit.

but yeah im keeping my fingers crossed on howard, hopefully it was a minor injury that wont have him questioning "can i do this?" when trying to go from one side to the other without pulling the groin... you could tell he was questioning his body last time around which is going to get your burnt.

That is true, maybe lashoff should take Ericsson's spot lol, thats iterally the ONLY guy i would play lashoff over. It is true hicketts is too small, but i think we doing a somewhat okay job at attempting to get bigger so maybe soon he will have an opportunity.

Jimmy better be top notch, we need to keep his value up, so that we can trade him before the expansion draft. If we dont theres a decent chance Vegas will take him, because lets not fool ourseves, the better goalies will be traded and protected by their new teams Jimmy is probably th best option that will almost certainly be available if we cant make a deal for him.

I've been thinking about the expansion draft a lot, and im getting scared tbh. Im afraid Kenny will do some stupid shit like protect Zetterberg or Kronwall. If left unprotected they probably wouldnt be taken, theyre aging and their contracts are bad for a new team, Kronwall a little less so than Z, but still they should not be protected and i feel like we might expose some you gsters put of loyalty to these guys and that definitey scares me. KH is losing his marbles a bit lately so, idk haha.

I actually like how big e is playing this year... he's finally using his size... i havent been impressed with marchenkov, smith, and kronwall is a shell of himself... if we get some size, then yeah i would love to see hicketts... but against a team like tampa our team gets tossed around like rag dolls

and if we can unload howard either route, i'd be happy... if he gets picked in the draft, with the rules that you must take one player from each team.. then you dont have to worry about the protection of the other guys... and guys like larkin can't be drafted so that frees up a spot to protect someone else...

but if he gets traded im going to get nervous, because kenny is notorious for being too loyal.

Ericsson hasnt been TERRIBLE this year, but we pay him wayyyyy too much for what he brings to the table. If he was on payroll for a cap hit of 1.5-2m i would like him a lot more than i do lol.

Very true, maybe that is the best option, however, Kenny still might expose players by being too loyal, and if its between Howard or idk say Sproul/Green (both of which HAVE to be protected or i will probably die) that he decides to expose by protecting Kronwall, then jimmy will still be here, and so will Kronwall. So i mean, even if Jimmy isnt traded, Kenny can still fuck this up.

I would not protect Z or Kronner, i would also sign vanek to an extension before the season ends, that way if LV really wants vanek they can take him in the expansion draft, because LV gets something like a 2 week head start talking to all UFA's after the season ends, before any other team gets to. So that way they cant take one of our players and then also come to a deal with Vanek before we are even allowed to talk extension.
